Nose/Scent Work
Nosework is a dog sport created to mimic professional detection dog tasks. Dog and handler form a team and must find a hidden target odor, often ignoring distractors (such as food or toys), and alert the handler to the find.
Competitive Obedience
In the sport of canine obedience, the handler & K9 team is judged on how closely they match the judge’s mental picture of a perfect performance as they execute a series of specified exercises. Accuracy and precision is vital.
Agility
Agility is a dog sport in which a handler directs their dog through a pre-set obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. The handler's controls are limited to voice, movement, and body signals. Courses typically have between 14-20 obstacles, which can include tunnels, weave poles, jumps, seesaws, and pause tables.
Musical Freestyle
Musical Freestyle is fast becoming a mainstream canine performance sport that showcases the creativity and training skills of a dog-and-handler team. The sport is a mixture of obedience training, trick training, and a choreographed performance that allows for creative interaction between the handler and his/her dog. Each behavior is spilt into tiny pieces until mastered and then linked to other pieces and synced to music to form the final entertaining routine.
Rally-O
Rally-O is a dog sport based on obedience. The handler and K9 team navigate a course of 10-20 different signs. The team moves through the course performing the exercise(s) listed on the signs. It’s all about working as a team while performing the skills, with the dog under control.
Rally FrEe
Want to add a bit of fun to your training? Do you enjoy training tricks but also love beautiful heelwork? Rally-FrEe is a unique sport combining trick behaviors of Canine Musical Freestyle with the format of Rally-Obedience. It emphasizes the precise execution of fundamental freestyle and obedience skills while encouraging creative and novel behaviors on a Rally-Obedience style course.
